Frank Pimentel Frank Pimentel of Oceano was born in July 1933. He passed away, Sunday, July 13, 2014, at home with his family by his side after a hard fought battle with lung cancer. Frank served in the U.S. Air Force, retired from Diablo Canyon after 25 years, was active with Labors' Union #202 and was a lifetime NRA member. His favorite pastime was to hunt and fish with his boys; camping and barbequing was always on the list of things to do. He was an active member of Grover Beach Outreach Church of God, where he served as an usher and the pastor's right-hand man. Frank is survived by his wife of 57 years Irene Pimentel; sons Abel (Rita) Castilleja, David (Traci) Pimentel and Robert Pimentel; daughter Cindy (Sam) Perez; ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren He was preceded in death by Maximiliano Pimentel, Eva Corna, Tilly Martella, Ida Echavarria and Max Pimentel. A service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 18, 2014, at Marshall-Spoo Sunset Mortuary in Grover Beach, followed by a military burial at Arroyo Grande Cemetery.
