William E. Halopoff, 78, passed away unexpectedly Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at Twin Cities Hospital in Templeton. He was born in a Russian community in East Los Angeles and grew up in Altadena, Calif. After his military service, he graduated from Art Center College of Design in 1968 and worked for FMC Corporation in San Jose, Calif., as an International Design Consultant. He was also a fine artist and often won awards for his detailed pencil renderings at various art shows. Bill will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy; son, Guy; daughter Carolee Peterson (Jeff); three beloved grandchildren, Emily (13), Jenna (11) and Davis (9); sister, Marilyn Noel; and extended family, all of whom share wonderful memories of the outgoing, wonderful character that was Bill. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 1450 Golden Hill Road in Paso Robles. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Bill''s honor to Covenant Presbyterian Church.
