Resident of Corralitos
George died unexpectedly after a short illness at the age of 59 on April 8th, 2013. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the Navy from 1971-1974. George worked for Chapin & Clark, S. Martinelli & Co. as a self employed housepainter, and later as a part time yard duty at Bradley Elementary School.
George was a die-hard SF Giants, 49ers, and Stanford Fan. He loved his family, friends, music, golf, BBQing, camping, watching sports and cruising the back-roads whenever possible. George's greatest joy was his children Mychael and Adam; He was a stay-at-home- dad in the 90's and volunteered in their classrooms, chaperoned for many Bradley school field trips, coached; T-ball, basketball at YMCA & Aptos, and soccer for many years. George was generous with his time in the Corralitos Community and volunteered at many events; Bradley School Chicken BBQ, Corralitos Festival of Lights, The BrewFest and assisted with many BBQ fundraisers, as well as many other fun events in Corralitos. He had a never ending stream of jokes he would tell over and over to any one who would listen.
George is survived by his wife of 32 years, Kathy, two sons Mychael and Adam, father George of Florida, brother Larry(Cheryl), sister Marcie, nephews; Bryan(Shelby) and Christopher(Jen) McNary, Alex Hardman, niece Jamie Hardman, Brandon Peters and their loving families.
A celebration of his life will be held Sunday, May 5th, 2013 at 2pm @ the Corralitos Woman's club.
