Jon Willson lost his 2 year battle with lymphoma on 1/6/13 @ UCSD. Jon was most known for his positive attitude and amazing sense of humor. He was a successful business owner of BRATS Salon until 2007 when he relocated to San Diego to teach for the Paul Mitchell School of Cosmetology. He was voted Metro's "Best Stylist in Santa Cruz" 3 consecutive years and was frequently voted FAVORITE PMTS instructor. He was HIGHLY respected by many internationally acclaimed hair educators, students and salon owners. Jon received his 2nd Dan Black Belt in 2006 and studied in the US and Japan. He is survived by his wife of 16 yrs, Sherrie St. Clair, sons Joshua Chapman, Eco Willson and daughter Myrriah Chapman-Quintenilla, stepchildren, Flax Glor, Rhiana Glor and Tanen Brown and 3 wonderful grandsons.
Jon is also survived by his mother Arlene Roat, father Jim Willson, Sister Nora Willson and Brother David Willson of Shasta County and Aunt Shirley Barbour of Tehama County.
A celebration of Jon's life will be held in San Diego 7/2013.
