Linda Barber

Linda May Rodney Barber
Resident of Boulder Creek
OUR FLOWER GIRL, Linda lost her courageous two year battle with breast cancer on November 10, 2013. She was born August 26, 1950 in Detroit, MI, attending elementary school and high school in Redford Township. She graduated from Wayne State University with a B.A. in Education while also earning her teaching credential.
Linda traveled west and began her California adventure in 1977, eventually settling in the San Lorenzo Valley. She started a floral business, TerraLace Flowers, in Felton, and for more than 28 years brought beauty and joy to many with her artistic creations. A master at designing, Linda worked with corporations decorating for events and holiday celebrations. Bridal flower designing was one of Linda's specialties, transforming an empty large room into a grand ballroom or a redwood grove into a magical fairyland.
Linda loved her family and friends, spending time with them in the Santa Cruz and Monterey areas as well as in St. Helena, Tucson, Michigan and Alaska.
Linda leaves behind her husband, Jeoff Meacham; her father Frank Rodney; her sister Sandy Peeler and her husband, Tom; her beloved son Trent Barber and his wife Brooke and daughter Flynne; her precious Grandson Jaden; stepdaughter Jamie and wife Cassie; stepson Tony and wife Irene and grandsons Noah and Elijah; nephews Michael and Kyle; grandnephew Dylan; a large community of friends; and her Magnificent Mutt Mack. Linda's loving mother Dorothy preceded her in death.
A Celebration Of Life was held November 16 at the Boulder Creek Golf Club. Gifts in Linda's memory may be made to the Katz Cancer Resource Center, 1555 Soquel Drive, Santa Cruz, CA 95065
