Kenneth Chappell Obituary

Kenneth "Doc" Chappell Resident of Watsonville Died August 4, 2013, at his home in Watsonville, surrounded by his family. He was 97. A native of Washburn, Missouri, he has lived in Watsonville since 1946. Mr. Chappell last worked as an inspector at California Giant. He enjoyed gardening, fishing in his younger years, and spending time with his family. Mr. Chappell leaves his children, Kenny (Mary Kay) Chappell of Aptos and Karen (Bill) Moncovich of Watsonville, 6 grandchildren, Nicole (Michael) Palazzo, Leanne (Joey) Barsi, Jennifer Moncovich, Alison (Kevin) Freitas, Nick (Lori) Chappell, and Kristen Chappell; 9 great-grandchildren, Lia and Gianna Palazzo, Josie and Billy Barsi, Kimberly, Jordan, and Gabby Moncovich, Macy and Colby Freitas, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his wife, Euna. Funeral services will be Thursday 11:00 a.m. at Mehl's Colonial Chapel. Burial will follow at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park. Donations are preferred to the American Cancer Society, Central Coast Office, 945 S. Main St., Ste. 201, Salinas, CA 93901, or donor's favorite charity.

His smile makes you feel happy..His love will be forever..His Mama thanks you all for taking such good care of him. Una now has her sweetheart husband with her. We all have each other to embrace and share the loss of this wonderful man that we all knew.
