Lidia Vivola
02/27/1922 ~ 08/13/2012
Resident of Aptos
Services will be Friday and Saturday for Lidia Vivola, who passed away on Monday, August 13, 2012 at home in Aptos. She was 90 years old. Lidia was born and raised in Fontecchio, Italy on February 27, 1922. Lidia resided in Lackawanna, New York and then moved to Fontana, California in 1960. Then in 1992, she moved to Aptos.
Lidia was a homemaker and she loved to spend time with her family. She was a devoted wife and mother. Her grandchildren meant the world to her, but her greatest joy was her Great-Granddaughter Carleigh who made her so happy. Lidia also enjoyed cooking and loved to travel. She liked going to Casino's and she loved to play Bingo.
Lidia was a member of Resurrection Church, The Women's Guild, I.C.F., Sons of Italy, and Mid-County Senior Center (where she enjoyed playing bingo). She lent her cooking skills to I.C.F. and The Women's Guild. Lidia also brought communion to the homebound.
Lidia is survived by her daughter Merci Schuessler and her husband Joe; her son, Ned Vivola and his wife Iris her granddaughters, Angela and Leigh-Ann Vivola and her great-granddaughter, Carleigh. She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Emanuele Vivola who passed away in 1999.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Resurrection Church (7600 Soquel Dr. Aptos, CA).
Committal services will be held the following morning at Green Acres Memorial Park, (11715 Cedar Ave. Bloomington, CA) on Saturday, August 18, 2012 beginning at 9:30 a.m.
