Mary Mount Obituary
October 27th, 1926- August 9th, 2012
Resident of Santa Cruz, CA
Mary Joy Mount passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday August 9th, 2012. She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 66 years, Stan Mount; three children: Tom (Cindy) Mount, Kathy (Paul) Rigor, David (Pam) Mount; 6 granddaughters and 8 great grand children; Mary was preceded in death by her parents; Arthur and Zella Poore.
She attended San Jose State University majoring in business where she met her husband, Stan Mount.
She enjoyed being a housewife and she worked part-time at the Aptos Elementary School cafeteria while her children attended school there. She managed the company books for her husband's construction firm until their retirement. While raising her children she was a 4-H leader and a Boy Scout Den Mother. She is a past member of the Lucky Steppers Square Dance Club of Santa Cruz where she made life time friends.
She enjoyed camping, fishing, extensive traveling (North and South America), interior decorating and crafts. She loved games and books and was master of nursery rhymes. Our hearts will never forget.
A celebration of her life will be held August 25th at the Vista Del Lago clubhouse, 444 Whispering Pines Dr., Scotts Valley, CA. 95066, at 12 noon.
"In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Hospice of Santa Cruz County at 940 Disc Dr., Scotts Valley, CA 95066: Grey Bears at 2710 Chanticleer Ave., Santa Cruz, CA 95065; or Alzheimer's Association at 1777 Capitola Rd., Santa Cruz, CA 95062."

Will remember her sweet smile and how she loved those around her. The times spend with Adam ,the tenderness they shared together encouraging each other.
The times shared at the birthday gatherings. That she got to know and spend time with her great grand-children Kavan and Grace. How precious!She will always be remembered with love
