Nuss Marie Obituary
Elizabeth Nuss
Resident of Aptos, CA
Born on February, 29 1924 in South Dakota and passed away in her home, surrounded by loved ones on July 26th.
Betty received her bachelors in the 1940's and went on to teach and become a librarian in Watsonville CA. She was married to Al Nuss and had two daughters Debbie and Nancy. She moved to California and made her home in Aptos in the 1950's. Later, she became the proud grandmother of two girls, Zena and Claire.
Betty was a lifelong learner, collector, crafter, poker player, opera lover and a fiercely devoted Giants fan. She was an active community volunteer, a strong supporter for social justice, and a vibrant member of her church.
She was preceded in death by her sister Louise and her daughter Debbie. Donations in her name can be made to either Grey Bears or the Aptos Community United Methodist Church.
A memorial celebration of her life will be held at Aptos Community United Methodist Church on August 25, 2012 at 2pm. For further information please call her church at (831) 688-2210.
