Yuet Ngor Lam Szeto passed away last Friday in Watsonville at the age of 88. Yuet was born in a small village in Hoi Ping, China. As a young woman she moved to Hong Kong where she lived until she moved to New York in 1975. Shortly thereafter, she moved to the Bay Area in 1976 where she has resided ever since.
Yuet spent most of her life as a homemaker except for a short time where she worked in the canning department at Green Giant in Watsonville for ten years.
Yuet is survived by her four children sons Kwan Yu Szeto of Watsonville; Chung Yu Szeto of Ottawa, Canada; daughters Wai Lin Szeto of Watsonville; and Wai Har Szeto of Watsonville. She is also survived by four grandchildren, two brothers, three nephews, and one niece. She was preceded in death by her husband Bon who passed in 1996.
Services will be Thursday, January 10th at Santa Cruz Memorial Oakwood Crystal Chapel at 3301 Paul Sweet Road, Santa Cruz. Visitation will begin at 9:00 - 12:00 p.m., service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with a graveside service to follow at Oakwood Memorial Park.
