Angelo Mori passed away peacefully in Manteca, CA on Friday, January 6, 2017 after a brief illness and hospital stay. He was 88 years old at his death and for the last ten months, made his home at Brookdale Senior Living Memory Care. He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years Enes Mori (Pini), his parents Angelo and Mary (Molfino) Mori and siblings Johnny Mori of Carmel, Lousie of Campbell, and infant brother, Angelo Mori, whom he was named after. Angelo is survived by his two children Allison (Ron) of El Dorado Hills and Arlene (Barney) of Modesto, and his brother Joseph Enrico Mori. Angelo is further remembered through his loving grandchildren Philip, Sethi, Paul, and Rebecca; along with four great-grandchildren.
Angelo was a native of his hometown of Santa Cruz, CA. Angelo enlisted into military service in 1946 and was a part of the Army Air Corp for three years, for which he was very proud of. After his military service, he entered into a trade school to become an aircraft mechanic. Considered a handyman and woodworker, Angelo enjoyed fixing and tinkering, but was truly happiest building things like surfboards, sailboats and furniture. He and his wife, Enes enjoyed traveling and fishing together and enjoyed most of all their travels to the the Caribbean Cruise with friends and Italy with family. He loved to have his family and friends around and will be missed by all who knew him.
A graveside service will be held at 12:00 noon on Friday, January 13, 2017 at Holy Cross Cemetery located at 2271 7th Ave, Santa Cruz, CA 95062.
