Antoinette Marie Robison

Resident of Santa Cruz
Antoinette Robison died at her home in Santa Cruz on June 19, 2013 surrounded by her loving family. Antoinette will be remembered for her elegance, wit, and kindness. Mrs. Robison is survived by her three children, Renee Robison of Santa Cruz, CA, Dr. Valerie Robison, of Atlanta, GA, and John Robison of Boise, ID as well as daughter-in-law Angel Hart, sons-in-law Tom Waggoner and Dr. Peter Cegielski and four grandchildren. Antoinette moved to Santa Cruz, CA from Kitty Hawk, NC 18 years ago to be closer to family. She attended UC Berkeley, graduated from Lone Mountain College in San Francisco, and taught elementary school in Guam and San Francisco. She established a volunteer-based water safety program for children in Kitty Hawk, NC that received statewide recognition.
Antoinette was an intrepid traveler and joined her sister and children on many adventures in Africa, Asia, and Europe. In Santa Cruz, Antoinette could often be seen walking her golden retrievers through Lighthouse Field and in the Yacht Harbor.
Antoinette was preceded in death by her husband, John T. Robison (Captain Ret. USN), sister Valerie Lagorio, and brother Anthony Lagorio.
Scattering at sea services are planned for early August.

She is now in the presence of our Lord Jesus,what peace that must be. I am so thankful for the blessing of kindness and friendship she showed to my Mom (Pat Schwartz) in her last days and also all the woderful times when Valerie was here also . yes Rene,Valerie and John you have a beautiful mother and she is and will be missed. Praying the Lord will comfort you with His peace...
