Phyllis Green
July 31, 1925-June 24, 2017
Phyllis Ann (nee McDonald) Lamborn Green passed away a year ago on June 24, 2017. She was 91. She was a beautiful woman, and one that was loved by all who knew her. Phyllis was a generous lady who gave back to her community serving as a long time volunteer in the Collector's Corner of the Goodwill store in Santa Cruz, receiving Volunteer of the Year award for her efforts.
Born in San Jose, CA to John Lewis McDonald and Florence Helen Vincent, Phyllis attended San Jose State earning a BA in Art. She was active in the International Order of Rainbow for Girls and was selected as the state's Grand Worthy Advisor. Phyllis was also a 70+ year member of the Order of Eastern Star and served the state as Grand Page and Grand Esther.
Phyllis was predeceased in death by husbands Alfred Clayton (Bud) Lamborn and Robert Henry (Bob) Green and son-in-law Dimas (Nick) Gil.
Phyllis is lovingly remembered by her two daughters, Janette Gil and Jill Emery and her husband Breen Emery, two grandsons, Chris and Kevin Gil, their wives, Michele and Tara and great grandchildren, Madison, Makinley, Nicholas, Katherine and Elizabeth.
We were blessed with Phyllis' presence and she will always remain in our hearts, thought and prayers.
