Carole Lee (Scofield) Heaney passed away on April 7, 2014, at Lodi Memorial Hospital. Born in Modesto, CA, Carole was raised in Santa Cruz, graduating from Santa Cruz High School, where she met her loving husband, Paul Arthur Heaney. Their 55 married years together have brought them and those near to them, much fun, love and laughter.
Carole was a teacher's aide for the Berryessa and Oak Grove School Districts, and longtime resident of the San Jose area. She was an associate member of the Assistance League of San Jose, and for the past 14 years has been a resident of Lodi, CA. Many fond memories will be cherished of Carole's love for her cats, and always remembering the birthdays, anniversaries, and special occasions of those whom she loved so much.Her devotion and thoughtfulness for her family as a loving mother was a legacy that she has left for her children.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Paul Heaney of Lodi, her daughter, Karey Gannatal and grandsons Jeffrey (Danielle)and James; her daughter, Susan Lundquist (Russell); her daughter, Cheryl Heaney Ordez (Xavier); her daughter,Michele Buschman (Keith) and grandchildren Cheryl and Mikel; her brother George Scofield Jr. (Lori), and her brother, Philip Scofield (Kristin) and sister in laws (Joan and Millou), and brother in laws (Tony and Tim); and several nieces and nephews. Carole is also survived by her beloved and spoiled feline companions, Linus and Pumpkin.
Friends and family are invited to gather at Benito and Azzaro Pacific Gardens Chapel for a viewing from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Sunday, April 13, 2014. Visitation will resume on Monday, April 14th, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A funeral ceremony will begin at the chapel at 11 o'clock, with committal services following at Oakwood Memorial Park, Santa Cruz.
