Maralee Ann Potter Obituary
Maralee Ann Potter
Nov 29, 1943 - June 19, 2014
Resident of Royal Oaks
Maralee Potter, or mom as I like to call her, passed away at the age of 70 Thursday afternoon at her home in Royal Oaks. Mom is survived by her Husband Douglas Potter; her children Herb, Loren, Erik, Olivia, Mandy, Jenni, Lesley, Brian, Sandy, and Lael; and her nine grandchildren. Mom was born in Vallejo CA, and moved to Santa Cruz as a baby with her four siblings. Her parents Del and Clara Kreinbring were teachers at Santa Cruz High, and Live Oak Elementary. Mom attended Santa Cruz High, Cabrillo College, and graduated from San Jose State, where she went on to be a teacher. After teaching she was an interior designer, contractor, mother and wife.
Mom was always involved in some sort of project, from laying tile, to building cabinets, to cooking for party's of 100. If you knew mom, she did all these projects in her trademark high heel sneakers, and overalls. Moms favorite place was the lake house in Minnesota where she spent many summers with her family.
Mom touched the lives of many people, and wanted to have one last hoorah with a Celebration of Life party. The celebration will be held on July 6th from 11 to 3. For more information please email herbgundersen@sbcglobal.net.
Moms final resting place will be in Minnesota near the lake house later this summer.
