Rebecca "Becky" Ruvalcaba passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 24, 2014. She was 62.
Mrs. Ruvalcaba was born on May 26, 1952 in Mission Texas but was a long time resident from Watsonville. She attended Watsonville High School. Mrs. Ruvalcaba worked as a property manager at El Pajaro Community Development Corp for over 20 years.
Mrs. Ruvalcaba was a devoted wife, loving and caring for her kids and grandkids. She was the sunshine to her brothers, sisters, and friends. Mrs. Ruvalcaba added humor to our hearts: someone who would spice our lives with laughter and mischief and someone we could run to for special comfort and friendship and whose life would touch ours in a hundred different ways. Those who had the pleasure of knowing her were touched by her big heart and dimple smile. She will be deeply missed by all.
Mrs. Ruvalcaba is survived by her husband, Javier Ruvalcaba; son, Javier Ruvalcaba Jr.; daughter, Blanca Ruvalcaba Martinez; sister, Carmen Sandoval from Watsonville and brother, Ralph Sahagun from Salinas. She also leaves behind 2 grandchildren, a great granddaughter, a god daughter, numerous nieces and nephews, friends and family who deeply loved her. She was preceded in death by her parents, Maria Rugio Ochoa de Sahagun and Alfredo Sahagun; sister, Margarita Sahagun and brother, Manuel Sahgun.
Visitation will be held at Mehl's Colonial Chapel Tuesday, July 1st from 5-9pm with a Rosary at 7pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Assumption Church Wednesday, July 2nd at 11am followed by the burial at Pajaro Valley Memorial Park.
