Resident of Aptos
June was born to Grace and Joseph Dunham in Brooklyn, New York on August 12, 1925 and went to school in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania.
June passed away on February 15, 2012, nine days after an accident. She was preceded in death by her husband Bernard 'Red" McCafferty. She leaves a sister, Constance Kelley and husband George of Lighthouse Point, Florida, and a nephew David O. Kelley. June worked at Charmwick Candles, than went on to get her CNA at Cabrillo College. She worked as a CNA until 1994. She also worked as Security Guard at Seagate until she retired.
June was an avid reader and she and her husband loved to travel. They made several trips to Ireland and, many driving trips across the United States, especially on Route 66.
She will be sorely missed by her close friends, Gloria Baker, Ruth Aquino, Maria Hasbun, Heather Betchel, and many others.
At her request, no services are planned. The Neptune Society will scatter her ashes the same place as her husband's; off the coast of San Francisco.
