Resident of Rancho Cordova
Jean Louise Endicott of Santa Cruz died November 10 at the age of 92. She had moved to Santa Cruz eight years ago to be closer to family. She was born in Sacramento, California, the youngest child of Leigh and Blanche Pierce. She had one sister, Margaret Burkle, and two brothers, Forest and Brinkley Pierce.
Jean was an artist and also a third grade school
at Cordova Lane School in Rancho Cordova, California. She met Goodwin Endicott on a blind date in Santa Cruz and became a wife, companion, and best friend to him for 50 years before his death in 1995. She was sweet natured, quick to laugh, and treated everyone she met with kindness and dignity.
She is survived by her four daughters: Carol Endicott, Dawn Maclaughlin, Leslie Endicott, and Sara Allshouse. She leaves behind four grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and eight nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m., November 23, at Santa Cruz Memorial Oakwood Chapel, 3301 Paul Sweet Rd., Santa Cruz.
