Ronald C. Baganha
May 19, 1962-Dec. 31, 2012
Los Banos and formerly of Santa Cruz Pleasure Point
Ron Baganha, also known as the Snake Man of East Cliff Dr, crossed over December 31, 2012 in Los Banos at his home. Ron was born and lived most of his life in Los Banos. He always returned there from wherever he may have moved. For the last 10 years he lived primarily in Santa Cruz in Pleasure Point with Becky Donofrio but also maintained his home in Los Banos.
Ron leaves his daughter, Joei Lynn Baganha of Salinas, that he loved so much. His mother, Dee, and brother, David, live in Bakersfield. His beloved father, Joe Baganha, passed away when Ron was younger. Ron's chosen family were Becky, Brianna and Justin Donofrio here in Santa Cruz. His closest friend and Bro, Danny Patrick, lives in Big Sur. Ron and his ever faithful friend, Hay Dog, skateboarded near the ocean everyday. His proud chihuahua, Spike, could also be seen strutting around on the cliffs. Ron will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ron worked for Harbor Supported Living Services, Moran Drywall and many other handyman private jobs in Santa Cruz. He could do "things with my hands that most men can't". That was one of Ron's famous quotes from songs, movies, books that he often used and then smiled that huge smile that brightened his deep blue eyes and just lit up the space and people around him .
Ron has provided a great deal of community and spiritual service through the Salvation Army in the last 12 months. Pastor Joe was a powerful influence in this last year of Ron's time here on the planet. Pastor Joe will be presiding over the services on January 19, 2012 at the Salvation Army church at 1231 4th St. in Los Banos, CA at 1 pm. 209 829-1028 The celebration of Ron's life will be followed by a reception at a location near the church.
