Bruce Bongar
February 7, 2015
Dave Rigler was my professional hero. He was the first senior professor to believe in a very young Ph.D. named Bruce Bongar. He also was my mentor and a beloved friend. Dave taught me how to be a supervisor, a clinical teacher and a true scientist practitioner clinical psychologist. I have such fond memories of Dave, Marilyn, our Pediatric Psychology training center at Childrens Hospital of Los Angleles, and our wonderful visits to see Milton Erickson.

Uncle Dave---you accepted me into the family with a love-filled heart and we shared a connection that I will forever cherish within my heart. Our mutual love of photography was a bonus. We will now carry you within us as we move forward with a heavy heart. Love always, Anita

To my family ~ our hearts are aching. I always felt so proud and blessed to have man like Uncle Dave as a strong part of our diverse family. His way of living taught me so much and I am carrying that with me forever. I love him and miss him. --laura

Dear Sara, I never had the chance to meet your father. However, I've been fortunate to know you and work with you over the years. You are an outstanding person and a great teacher. Your parents must be wonderful because I know you and you are a reflection of them. Sincerely, Jan Streig
