"Big Nick" was a local of Santa Cruz who was kind, loyal, funny, loving and sweet. He had a love of the water, outdoors, and riding his cruiser bike with his son. He had a legacy for being very strong and full of life. Nick was best known for making people laugh and joking around.
He is survived by his son, Drake Harrell (7); his love of 10 years, Julie Elisabeth Pimentel; his mother and step-father, Karen and Jim Keener; his father, Bill Harrell along with sisters, brother, grandparents, family and friends.
A celebration of Nick's life will be held at The Santa Cruz Horsemen's Association located at 1145 Graham Hill Road in Santa Cruz CA. The celebration will be Sunday August 2nd, 2015 at 3pm and will be pot luck style if you have a dish to share. BBQ will be provided. In Lieu of Flowers, donations may be made to the Nick Harrell Memorial fund for help with the celebration and his son Drake set up at Bank of the West located at 1551 Pacific Avenue in Downtown Santa Cruz.
