Michael McIntyre Obituary

Michael W. McIntyre
Sept. 6, 1952~Nov. 4, 2016
Resident of Royal Oaks
Dr. Michael W. McIntyre was born on September 6th 1952 in Las Vegas Nevada, the youngest of 4 children born to Lt. Colonel Bryce McIntyre and his wife Dorothy. Michael graduated from the University of Texas Medical School and received his license to practice medicine in 1985. Dr. McIntyre moved to California and for the past 26 years, continued his distinguished career practicing medicine and dedicating his time serving the greater community of Santa Cruz County, specifically at the Watsonville Health Center.
Michael found love and in 2002 he married Maria Luz Pacheco; he rejoiced and embraced the role of husband and father with the woman and family he dearly loved. Michael was a proud believer and follower in the Lord Jesus Christ; he took pride in leading and guiding his family with the Word of God. Michael and his family worshipped the Lord his Savior at both Green Valley Church in Watsonville and at Twin Lakes Church in Aptos.
When Dr. McIntyre wasn't working, he enjoyed spending his time with his family by going on vacations or attending gatherings of family and friends. Among his favorite activities to do with the family were running, dancing, reading, attending the local YMCA, and long walks. He enjoyed the natural beauty of the redwood forests, the Santa Cruz coastline beaches, and the sweet smell of strawberry fields. He saw it all as the wonderful work of his Creator, whom he sought to honor and to serve with gratitude.
Dr. Michael W. McIntyre passed away in his home on November 4th, 2016. He leaves behind his wife, Maria Luz Pacheco; their two children, Michael McIntyre and Clarissa Mendoza Pacheco, and four step children, Uriel Mendoza, Gabriel Mendoza, Daniel Mendoza, and Melissa Mendoza. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bryce and Dorothy McIntyre of Bonham, Texas; his sister, Lorraine Mitchell of Cumby, Texas and his sister, Alice Truitt of Commerce, Texas. He leaves behind his older brother, Bryce McIntyre Jr. of Fort Worth, Texas.
He will be forever loved and truly missed.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 8th at Mehl's Colonial Chapel from 5:00-9:00 pm with the Rosary recited at 7:00 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at the Green Valley Christian Center on Wednesday, November 9th at 10:00 am with the burial to follow at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Prunedale.
