JERRE KING BOWLES Age 91, of Santa Fe, passed away November 4, 2012. She was born November 20, 1920 in Bluff Dale, TX to Jessie Mae and R.C. Caraway. She is preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Ann Baggette; sister, Helen Hedrick; and brother, Don Carraway. Jerre is survived by her husband, Wayne Bowles of Santa Fe; daughter, Jil Gurule and husband Lee of Albuquerque; grandsons: Jeff "Jefe" Kraybill and Edward Huser of Santa Fe, Colby Kraybill and Kevin Kraybill of Albuquerque; granddaughter, Kelley Butler of Arlington, TX; grandson, Richard Spiva of Arlington, TX; grandson, Gabriel Gurule of Albuquerque; 6 great grandchildren; nephew, Frank Harvey of Houston, TX; nieces: Goose Fedders, Haila Harvey, and Sara Cateriano all of Pecos, NM; nephews: Ron Carraway and Steve Carraway of Texas; nieces: Diane Barker, Michelle Smith, and Kathy Fihr all of Arizona; and sister-in-law Fern Carraway also of Arizona. Jerre was a lifelong artist working with various mediums. She loved the fall weather and changing leaves. She loved creating ornaments, jewelry and miniatures. Jerre loved horses and owls, bobcats, and eating tamales. A classic clothes fashionista, she was always impeccably dressed and loved attending fiesta and cruising all the art fairs to find special gifts for her loved ones. She hated to cook and rarely set foot in her kitchen. Wayne, very sorry to hear Jerre has passed. I loved her, she was a super mother-in-law and a very special friend. I know you made her life beautiful!! My deepest sympathy to you and family.

I thank God for the privilege of allowing us to meet Jerre. What a wonderful and special person she was. I saw and talked to Jerre and Wanye daily and they made me happy! I have some great memories that will last forever.
I thank the family for sharing this precious treasure with us at the Rosemont.
Jerre had a way about her that was so much fun. She was a lovely, kindhearted, and special person. I will always remember her smile, hugs, and beautiful compliments. Jerre and Wayne were awesome together and they made my husband and I laugh! We had many special and happy moments together and she will be missed so much.
