Triebelhorn, Helen
HELEN TRIEBELHORN AUGUST 6, 1915 - SEPTEMBER 21, 2015 Helen passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her family. She lived a full, healthy and exciting life. She was the daughter of Josefina and Cesario Vigil. Helen is survived by her six children: Margo Jones, Dolores Corcoran, Rod Aguilar, Louise Cox, Sandra Aguilar and Brad Evans. She was active in caring for both her children and grand children. Helen had a heart for people. She sought out opportunities to talk with children and their parents, befriend those in distress, and bring a smile to a hurting soul. She was fearless, having battled the great depression and the loss of her brother Johnny B. Vigil in WWII. Her strength and force of will in the face of many adversities belied her small frame and kind face. She will not only be missed, in our hearts there will never be another like her. Helen's work included hospital administration in Los Alamos, City Clerk and Water Manager for the City of Espanola. She also loved the outdoors, travel and solitude with good books. Helen will be remembered by all who knew her and were touched by her humor, grace and candor. A memorial will be held on Saturday Oct.10 from 2-4 at Unity Santa Fe 1212 Unity Way.
