FARIDE FAVER CHÁVEZ CONWAY SEPTEMBER 10, 1939 - DECEMBER 6, 2012 It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Faride Faver Chávez Diener Miller Conway of Las Cruces at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Shafter, Texas to Tiburcio "Bucho" Faver and Delfina Rede Faver. Faride moved to Las Cruces with her widowed mother and it was there her mother married E. E. Chávez and she became part of the large Chávez clan. Those left to mourn her passing include her husband, Joseph Raymond Conway, two daughters, Marla Diener of Albuquerque and Mardel Kalinowski of Alamogordo, two sons, Mitchell Diener of LaPorte, CO. and Milton "Mo" Diener of New Orleans, LA., two sisters, Denise Chávez of Las Cruces and Margo Chávez-Charles of Santa Fe, and stepsons and stepdaughters. Other survivors include eighteen grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, a nephew, Eric Charles of San Francisco, CA, as well as numerous family and cousins throughout the Southwest. Her parents, Delfina Rede Faver Chávez, Tiburcio Faver and E.E. Chávez, preceded her in death. She is survived by her Chávez and Faver cousins throughout the U.S. Faride's legacy as the matriarch of a large and vital family is a measure of the beauty and profundity of her life. Deeply loved by all who knew her, her life touched so many. Faride was a member of the Business and Professional Women of Wyoming, the Wyoming Hispanic Coalition, the Fraternal Order of Police and former President of United Way-Wyoming Chapter. She had a multifaceted and rich life and career as a policewoman, detective, owner of a security guard business, a bail bond business, was a licensed professional massage therapist, graduating from the Scherer Institute of Natural Healing in Santa Fe, was a talented bead artist, interior decorator and chef, but her true passion was for her family. She is legendary for her warmth, generosity and the open embrace of her heart and home. All who knew her respected her wit, honesty, grace and dignity. The family suggests donations may be made to the Faride Faver Chávez Conway "F.F.C.C."
