Frank H. Rooms Frank Rooms, 85, Santa Fe, peacefully passed away Saturday Nov. 3rd, 2012 with his grandson & best friend by his side. Frank was born in Chicago, Ill. As a first generation American citizen. Frank graduated from George Williams College in Chicago with a Bachelor of Science Degree. He moved to Santa Fe in 1968 where he was the successful owner/operator of the Tastee Freeze in Pojoaque. Frank was a World War ll Army Veteran
and was awarded the World War ll "Victory" Medal & the Army of Occupation Medal Japan. Frank was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Von Stappen & his father Henry H. Rooms of Belgium. Frank is survived by his Grandson Diego Trujillo, Best Friend of 35 years Albie Trujillo, & close family friends Geri Trujillo, Rose Trujillo, Phil Quintana, and his beloved dog "Gus". His kindness and generosity towards others gave new color to the meaning of love and companionship. He is revered as a friend a father and a grandfather, however he was best know simply as "Uncle Frank". Frank will be laid to rest at the Santa Fe National Cemetery Thursday Nov. 8th at 3 p.m. with full Military Honors.
