JAMES (JIM) STACY EDWARDS JAMES (Jim) STACY EDWARDS passed away suddenly on Thursday, October 10th in his home after a brief illness. Jim was born on December 10, 1945. He was preceded in death by his parents Norman Edwards and Gertrude Stacy. Jim retired from aviation and was a Vietnam veteran having served in the Air Force. He is survived by his brother Thomas Hanna, his niece Dani Hanna, his cousins Dean and Dan Stacy, cousin Patricia Acord, niece Erin Acord, and cousin Leann Jones. Jim was a fierce advocate for animals, volunteered with the ASPCA while living in Napa, where he spent nearly 30 years of his life prior to moving to Santa Fe. He was a kind and gentle person who befriended everyone he met. He will always be remembered for his time worked at the Santa Fe Railroad and at C.G. Higgins Chocolates, reflecting his sense of adventure and his eternal sweetness. A celebration of his life will be held at La Cocina De Balam on Saturday, October 19th at 2:00 p.m., 1406 Third Street, Santa Fe.
