John Green

JOHN EDWARD GREEN JUNE 29, 1940 - FEBRUARY 13, 2013 John Green passed away on February 13, 2013. He was born on June 29, 1940 in Lechtworth England to Leslie and Minnie Green. John immigrated to California in his early 20's to work in the aerospace industry. He eventually moved to Phoenix. Arizona where he worked for AirResearch/ Garrett/ Allied Signal/ Honeywell for more than 30 years. He graduated from Arizona State University and developed more than 10 patents for high speed engine measurements during his tenure as an aerospace engineer. After his retirement, he moved to San Diego, California and then to Santa Fe, New Mexico where he enjoyed hiking with the Sierra Club and fishing. He also participated in Habitat for Humanity construction. His parents, brother Roland and wife Laura have predeceased him. He is survived by his daughters Rauni Marsh of Phoenix and Serena Green of New Mexico, and three grandchildren. A celebration of John's life will be held on March 10, 2013 at 1 PM at the San Mateo Condominiums club house, 601 West San Mateo, Santa Fe, NM. In lieu of flowers, the family suggest donations be made in John's name to the Sierra Club or Habitat for Humanity.
