IN LOVING MEMORY OF MERCEDES J. QUINTANA October 20, 1935 - November 7, 2002 This November 7th marks the 10th Anniversary of the ascension of our Beloved Angel, Mercy, Great Grandmother, Grandmother, Mother and Wife - A special poem written in her memory. We never need a special day To bring you to our mind, For days without a thought of you Are very hard to find. Your beautiful and special smile Always make my day, A vision never to be forgotten This I have to say. While talking and sipping coffee You offered me advice, The soft voice of your wisdom Assured me not to think twice. For the countless long distance talks We had over many years, Thank you for being there for me For today I shed tears. The values you instilled in me Will never be forgotten, For they flourish in our children, Just like fields of cotton. In the early morning hours Before I begin my workday, We reminisced about your childhood, While you contently sat and crocheted. I miss the jokes you shared with me Because they made me laugh, And hope to share them someday But always on your behalf. I remember our days of fishing, On a sunny or rainy day, But it's you I'm forever missing Since the Lord took you away. We're thinking of you on your birthday With sadness in our hearts, For a very special someone From whom we had to part. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM" Family and friends, please join us for a Celebration Mass at St. John's the Baptist Catholic Church, Sunday, November 4 at 9 a.m. The Quintana Family
