PATSY L. SCRAFFORD

PATSY L. SCRAFFORD A longtime Santa Fe resident went home to be with the Lord, on October 12, 2012, in Las Cruces, New Mexico. She was born in Lima, Ohio, January 28, 1928. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carl D. and Janice A. Young. Patsy led a very active life, with many jobs, one being the Director of The New Mexico Revolution Bicentennial Commission, in 1976. She traveled and made many political friends. Her last career was in Real Estate, before deciding to retire. Pat loved to sing occasionally at Tiny's Lounge, singing with the Jose Gonzales Trio. As a girl, she had a love for horses and all her life, had a dog or two by her side. Patsy struggled with Alzheimer's, but was strangely blessed with the ability to play Solitaire if you put a deck of cards in front of her. She is survived by her son, Randy A. Scrafford and his wife, Lisa; and her daughter, Tracy L. Rivera, and her husband, John. Grandchildren: Matthew Varnado, Kristin and Daniel Scrafford, who she loved very much. She is also survived by a special sister, Sally A. Dieringer and her husband, Robert. She also leaves many nieces and nephews, who were very dear to her. There will be a memorial service held at Sonlit Hills Christian Fellowship, 2235 Henry Lynch road, Santa Fe, Saturday, October 20, at 10 a.m. Refreshments and pastries are following.
