Ted was a true friend. We were trail riding buddies years ago. We recently reconnected after many years and Ted was always willing to share stories of his life in Santa Fe. I will miss him.

Ted, old buddy, you were my first mentor in SAR. You taught me a lot about search and rescue and then, as we became friends, you taught me a whole lot more. The next IPA is for you.

Ted was my roommate in the Air Force. We became friends. Our friendship has lasted some 50 years. We spoke at least once a month and e-mailed often. He was his own man with his own opinions and one of those special characters I have had the privilege of knowing. He will be missed.
