MANUEL LEROY VIGIL His spirit was released into heaven on November 8, 2012, born February 16, 1946. He was a loving, giving and comical son, brother, husband, father and grandfather. He appreciated and cherished spending every moment with his loved ones. He was amazing in every way and seemed to always be able to bring a smile to faces. He was a passionate and devoted fan of the San Francisco 49ers, avid fisherman and outdoorsman. He loved camping and taking family trips to Lake Tahoe where he enjoyed barbequing, bon fires and singing while playing guitar. Leroy was born in El Rancho, later raised in Santa Fe, and later moved his own family to Richmond, CA. He retired from the University of California, Berkeley after having served 40 years. After retiring, he moved back to Santa Fe to care for his parents in their later years of life. Prior to his departure, Leroy overcame the loss of his own father Manuel Sabino on October 22, 2012. Leroy is survived by his adoring mother, Maria; loving wife of over 47 years, Beatrice; supportive brothers: Claudio (Rosemary) and Victor (Corrine). He is also survived by his daughters: LaVern Vigil-Navarro, Lorraine Sluus (Michael), and Lanette Corona (Emilio); and his grandchildren (who referred to him as Pinny): Adriana, Michael, Manuel, Tatiana, Emilio, Miana and Sophie. Rosary will be held at Berardinelli Chapel on Thursday, November 15, 2012 at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at Saint Anne's Catholic Church on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 10 a.m. Berardinelli Family Funeral Service 1399 Luisa Street, Santa Fe, NM 87505 (505)984-8600 Please sign our guestbook for the family at: www.berardinellifuneralhome.com
