JUAN A. ARCHULETA Juan A. Archuleta, 80, a resident of El Guique, passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2014, surrounded by his loving family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosina; his parents, Ambrosio and Donelia Archuleta; infant daughter, Lourdes Archuleta; brothers, Luis, Sambran, Jose Eligo, Freddy, and Ambrosio, sister, Fabiola Quintana; mother and father-in laws, Antonio E. and Margarita M. Martinez, brothers-in-laws, Jose Celso and Telesfo Martinez. Our dad was a very gentle person who was willing to help anyone in need. He was quick-witted with a great sense of humor. He was a hardworking man, always wanting to make a good life for his family. He owned the Pizza Parlor along with his wife and ran the family cattle ranch, working outside with his animals made him the happiest. He loved having large family gatherings, got much joy from seeing his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Juan is survived by his children, Eli Archuleta, Juan Archuleta Jr., Annette Quintana (Joe), Lisa Salazar (Eric); sisters, Amalia Martinez (Lino), Inez Vigil, Faustina Maestas (Rudy), Maria Owens, and Teresa Jennings (Larry); 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren. Public visitation will begin on Sunday, June 15, 2014 at 6:30 p.m. at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh with a rosary to be recited at 7:00 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to be celebrated on Monday, June 16, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. also at the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Ohkay Owingeh. Burial to follow at the San Rafael Cemetery in El Guique. The family of Juan A.
