MARY HELEN (NENA) ESPINOSA Mary Helen (Nena) Espinosa, 70, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 21, 2014. She fought a long battle with numerous medical conditions. Nena was born September 12, 1943 to Rafael and Ruby Ortiz. Nena was as a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She had a wonderful life filled with many friends and family. She spent her early childhood years growing up in Santa Fe, NM. After graduating high school she became a Fiesta Princess. Nena worked and retired from the City of Santa Fe. She was also an avid Avon Representative. Upon retiring from the city, she went to work for St. Vincent's Hospital and SFPS Transportation. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest, her parents, Rafael and Ruby Ortiz, sister, Margie Martinez father and mother in law, Juan and Adela Espinosa, stepmother, Cleo Espinosa, brothers in law, Vicente Montoya, Anastacio Gonzales, Raul Griego, Lawrence Lujan and goddaughter, Ruby Griego. She is survived by her sons, Rick and Raymond Espinosa, grandchildren, Andres, Estevan, Joshua, Ricardo Jr., Jeremiah, Emily and Jennessy, siblings: Tillie Montoya, Sophie Gonzales, Marina Benavidez, Josie Griego, Lorrie Lujan, Ralph Ortiz(Josie), Benny Ortiz (Josie), brothers in law, Melecio Martinez, Johnny Espinosa, Paul Espinosa (Patty), Eliseo Espinosa, Robert Espinosa, sisters in law, Anita Perea, Esther Espinosa, Patricia Espinosa, Raymie Hernandez (Robert), special friend, Lalo Salazar, and numerous cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends. Nena was a very kind and warm-hearted woman that was willing to help people out in any way she could without expecting anything in return. Nena loved to spend time with each one of her grandchildren. She especially liked to go see her grandchildren participate in activities they enjoyed. A Rosary will be held On Monday, August 25, 2014 at 6:00p.m. at Rosario Chapel Located at 499 N Guadalupe St, Santa Fe, NM 87501. A Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 26, 2014 at 6:00p.m. at Rosario Chapel followed by a second Rosary at 7:00p.m. A mass of a Christian Burial will take place Wednesday August 27th, 2014 at 11:00a.m. at San Isidro Church/Community Center followed by burial at Santa Fe National Cemetery at 12:45 p.m. Pallbearers: Richard Salazar, Arnold Trujillo, Andres Encinias, Estevan Espinosa, Leroy Martinez and Samuel Espinosa.
