Maria M. Hayter Age 95, a long time resident of Santa Fe, NM, and former resident of Alamosa, CO, Passed away at home in the loving care of her youngest son, Antonio Rael and his wife, Rose at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 19, 2010, in Eldorado. She was a member of the Blue Army of St. Anne's Church and was involved in the Crucillo movement in Santa Fe and Alamosa. She was an avid advocate of Senior Rights. Maria loved nothing more than to spend time with all her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jose and Agapita Sandoval; her beloved aunt, Ferminia Martinez; niece, Ramoncita Montoya, 2 sisters, 2 brothers; her eldest son, Alejandro "Nano" Martinez, and 3 granddaughters. Maria is survived by her sons: Leonires (Patty) Rael, Fredrico (Rosa) Rael, William Rael, Sr., Antonio (Rose) Rael; her only daughter, Carmela (George Vigil) Marines, 21 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren, and one great great great granddaughter making 5 generations of women. A visitation will be held at Berardinelli Family Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 24, 2010, at 7 p.m., at St. Anne's Catholic Church.
