FRANK MCGUIRE "To everything there is a season, a time to be born and a time to die." Ecclesiastes Frank had the great good fortune to be born to loving parents, Joseph W. and Mary Cecilia Brophy on April 4, 1925 in Hollis Long Island, New York. He died in peace at home on Sunday morning, February 20, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Mr. Joseph McGuire; and his son, Matthew Hilary McGuire. He is survived by his devoted wife, Rita Ann McGuire; sister, Peggy McGuire Fitzgerald; his cherished children: Kathleen McGuire McKenna and her husband Michael McKenna and Joseph McGuire; grandson, James Michael McGuire; nephews: John Joseph McGuire, Terry McGuire, Daniel Francis McGuire; and niece, Mary Catherine McGuire Dean. Frank's career was meaningful and varied. He located in Washington DC for fourteen years. He worked at the Headquarters of the Federal Bureau of Investigation for seven of those years. Frank had a great love of aviation and joined the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines and spend the next ten years in Public Relations and Management, enjoying frequent travel, both foreign and domestic. He was then requested to work in a position with the American Bar Association in Chicago, with a newly formed Standing Committee, to create a curriculum for schools to teach and contrast the different philosophies of Communism and Democracy. After moving to Santa Fe, NM in 1973 and seeing an extreme need for Home Health Care in the area, Frank established a business in Albuquerque, to serve that need not only in Albuquerque, but also in Santa Fe and Los Alamos. After ten years the business was thriving and he sold it to take a partial retirement. It was at this time, in his words he "married Rita Ann, the love of his life." Frank was so grateful for his wonderful life, his adoring wife and 3 cherished children. He often repeated these words, "God is Good" and "the Holy Spirit is always with us". With broken hearts full of love, we say good-bye to his earthy presence, but know that his life is only "changed, not taken away". Thank you to all who helped us and prayed for us during this time of sorrow. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2011, at 2 p.m. at Santa Maria De La Paz Catholic Church.
