ANASTACIO M. SANDOVAL (TACHO) Anastacio Sandoval, 78, a life-time resident of Galisteo, NM, was taken with angels into Heaven on November 12, 2012. Born April 16, 1934. He was a loving and giving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, and God parent. He cherished spending time with his loved ones and friends and playing his accordion. He was an army veteran. He enjoyed hunting and was in the movie, Young Guns. He could fix anything someone would ask him to fix. He also worked for Governor Bruce King. He was a member of St. Anthony and St. Joseph Society in the parish at Galisteo. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Lucia Sandoval; brothers, Benjamin and Fidel Sandoval. He is survived by his beloved wife, Libby; daughter, Theresa Montoya (Sam); son, Frank Sandoval (Sadie); grandchildren, Monica, Samantha, Samone, and Juan Montoya, Frank Jr. and Joseph Sandoval; great grandchildren: Analicia and Estevan Montoya, and Juliet Marcias; brothers: Fred, Joe, Rudy (Cecilia), Frank (Doris), George (Marie); sisters: Connie, Mary Lou (Pat), Joann (Ray), Stella (David), Gloria (Lee), Pilar (Hilario); sisters-in-law: Connie Marquez, Rosalie Tipton; brothers-in-law: Cresencio Baca, Mike Baca; cousins: Dolores Mora, Carmen Martinez; compadres: Rudy Sandoval, George Sandoval, Pat Baca, Saraepio Anaya, Ray Anaya; many nieces and nephews; comadres: Cecilia Sandoval, Marie Sandoval, Mary Lou Baca, Julia Anaya, Geniva Anaya, Beatrice Dominguez, Vivain William, Lupe Prada, Martha Delgado. Rosary will be recited at Nuestra Senora de los Remedios Church in Galisteo Friday at 6:30 p.m. Mass Saturday 10 a.m. Church in Galisteo. Reception to follow at the Galisteo Community Center. Eulogy by Anna Cardenas. Funeral pending at National Cemetery. Pallbearers: Frank Sandoval Jr., Joseph Sandoval, Juan Montoya, Robert Anaya, and Chris Sandoval.
