CARLOS SENA July 26, 1927 - January 17, 2013 Carlos our beloved father and grandfather was born on July 26, 1927 in Bernalillo, NM. He was the son of Lugardita and Jose C. Sena. His father was a farmer, carpenter, wine maker, and Mortician/Owner of "Jose C. Sena Casa De Funeraria." He acquired these skills from his father and utilized them all his life. He was a Private First Class and Chaplains' Assistant in the U.S. Army. Upon his return he worked for the Sisters of Loretto. He then met Rosina and they were married for 27 years. They lived in Southern California where he worked as an Ironworker until 1970. They moved to Tesuque where they built their dream home on land in which he devoted his life to. Carlos was a wonderful and loving Father to 4 sons, 3 daughters, 21 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild. He loved nothing more than to rise early in the mornings and be on his fields. With each season his land was breathtaking... His passion for his land was admired by many. Not only was he blessed with the talent of carpentry and the greenest thumb but was known for how many beautiful humming birds would fill his trees and surround his porch. He was strong in his Catholic Faith, and on Sundays he loved to ring the church bells. He was well known from Tesuque Village, where he served as Mayordormo (care taker of the ditches). He touched the hearts of many he knew and met, whether it was his remarkable ability to recall family history or the very humorous and captivating stories he told. He was a loving and caring grandfather. His grandchildren filled his heart with joy and laughter. He inspired and taught them so many things. Grandpa Charlie will be remembered for his famous "hold me tight" hugs and the gentle grasp of his hand. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
