FRED ROWELL Obituary

FRED ALLISON (BUZZ) ROWELL Fred (Buzz) Rowell of Albuquerque, born September 11, 1942 in Fort Leavenworth, Kansas to Fred and Betty Rowell of Roswell. Buzz passed away peacefully April 25. Buzz grew up in Roswell, graduated from NMMI and Texas Christian University. He used his marketing degree as Sales Manager for Pioneer Wear. Worked in Real Estate in Santa Fe and owned his Landscaping Company for years. He volunteered in various organizations to help others, passing on life lessons through inspirational talks to those in emotional distress, including those who were incarcerated. Buzz was an avid runner, camper and hiker who loved the great outdoors. He was an auto enthusiast as well. He passed along these passions to his children. He is survived by his sons, Christian Rowell, William Rowell; his daughters, Allison Tierney, Kirsten Rowell; 6 beloved grandchildren; former spouse Rosemary Rowell and Janel Larsen. He loved and was loved by his faithful dogs Jazz and Marley. Marley was by his side at the end. He will be missed. A small memorial service for family and friends is pending. Buzz and I had many fond memories from our days at TCU. He was a great friend. His mother was the greatest and always made her home available to Buzz's TCU buddies. Rest in peace my friend. Bob Pavlis

To my good buddy who I roomed with at NMMI and who lived with my family while going to TCU. I will sorely miss you and our phone visits. May you rest in peace and I will see you on the other side.

I am unsure, but Buzz may be my second grade buddy in Roswell. Year of birth, etc. match with mine. If so, he was a good buddy and we rode bicycles up to NMMI regularly, and walked to school together. God bless him. George Nelson [email protected] 979-777-9088

I used to go running with Buzz when I lived in Santa Fe and he was a customer when I was in the retail business. I'll alway remember Buzz for his smiling, friendly way.

I'm sorry to read that Buzz has passed. I liked his spirit and enthusiasm. We trained together and ran the Imogene Pass trail run years ago. He was supportive when the trail got rough. He was a good man.

Buzzard. I was grateful to know your kindness and joy. May your children know the efforts you made on behalf of those who choose to struggle. Go in peace.

Condolences to the family of Buzz. I knew him growing up in Roswell and our paths crossed again when he worked in Gallup. He was always so nice as was his mother Betty and her parents Mr. and Mrs. Allison. May Buzz rest in peace with them.
