Resident of Santa Maria, CA
Born on November 30, 1930 in Honolulu, Hawaii, son of Hen Mau and Daisy Chung, beloved husband of Janyce Mau, brother of Sadie Yamauchi, Sylvia Naauai, Darlene Bajadali and Charlie Mau, father of David, Robert (Irene), Lee Anne and Michael (Anna), and grandfather of Matthew, Tami, Jonah and Naomi, passed away peacefully on October 29, 2010.
Raised in Hawaii and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin. He was also an Airman Second Class in the United States Air Force, and was honorably discharged. He remained in the mainland and settled in Santa Maria, while working until retirement as an engineer at General Dynamics in Vandenberg Air Force Base. His passion was gardening, cooking for his family, and during retirement he enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas. He will truly be missed.
Services will be held at the Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, 1003 East Stowell Road, Santa Maria, CA on Friday, November 5, 2010. Viewing is from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Service begins at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at the Santa Maria Cemetery. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, Crematory and Memory Gardens.
