David Zimmermann Obituary
David "Dave" Richard Zimmermann age 67 passed away November 1, 2010 peacefully at his home. He was born December 10, 1942 in Morgan, MN to parents Walter and Martha Zimmermann. Dave has been a resident of Santa Maria for over 47 years. He retired in 2005 after over 33 years as an electrical engineer in the Aerospace Industry.
Dave enjoyed being with his friends at the Santa Maria Gun Club where he held the position of Vice President and Secretary.
Dave is survived by his wife of 46 years Joan Zimmermann of Santa Maria, sons Dave and Kim Zimmermann of Santa Maria, Scott Zimmermann of Atascadero, Grandchildren Tyler, Amber, Adrieanna and Jordyn Zimmermann, Mother-in-law Dolores Nathaniel of Santa Maria, Brother-in-law John Nathaniel of San Diego, Brothers, Ronald and Donna Zimmermann of Ramsey, MN, Roy and Amy Zimmermann of St. Paul, MN, Sisters Lorraine and Walton Miller of Lake Crystal, MN, Donna and Brad Burquest of Eden Prairie, MN, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Dave is preceded in death by his son Ronald Zimmermann, Parents Walter and Martha Zimmermann and Father-in-law Arthur Nathaniel.
A Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 5, 2010 at 10:00 am in the Chapel of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Santa Maria Cemetery.
Friends if they so desire can make donations in Dave's name to the American Cancer Association, 1432 Chapala St., Santa Barbara, CA 93110.
Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley-Hoffman Mortuary, Crematory and Memory Gardens.

Joanie and family, Knowing Dave was a blessing in our lifes.He truly was a Man with a great heart, and a kind spirt,Yes lets not forget his Wit.. He will truly be missed but never forgotten. He always had such a great humor about everything, and he did not let anything get him down, even when we last saw him in hospital, he still had that sense of humor.. He truly was and is a great Man . Our prayers go out to your whole family, it is never easy, We were blessed to have known him..and Tim working with him on SLC4. with All our love Tim and Frances Brawner

Joan and family - I had the pleasure of working with Dave for 13 years at SLC 4. He was dedicated to his team as much as he was dedeicated to his family. A true gentleman with a huge heart - a loss for us all. Our condelences from my family and the extended Titan family - Dave will be missed by us all. Our thoughts and prayers are with you Joan and your family. We will miss Dave's humor and wit. We truely enjoyed our time working with Dave at ITT. He made it a little more of a pleasant and fun place to be working at. We will miss seeing his smiling face at Orcutt Burger for breakfast on a Sunday morning also. Please know you have many friends here to help out if there is ever a need.
