Franklin Tosti Obituary

Franklin M. Tosti, Sr.
1942 – 2010
Franklin passed away on December 25, 2010.
He was preceded in death by his mother Pauline Tosti-Mankins, father, Frank Tosti, brothers Pete Tosti and Irving Tosti.
He leaves behind his wife of 50 years, Suzanne Tosti; daughter Stephanie Simpson (Greg); son Franklin Tosti, Jr. (Jody); grandchildren Frank P. Tosti and Matt Tosti of Santa Maria, Danielle Simpson, Christopher Simpson of Lompoc; four great-grandchildren: Cody Bridges of Arroyo Grande, Brooke Tosti of Santa Maria, Michael Gaitan, Jr. of Lompoc, and Jetty Tosti of Wyoming; mother-in-law Suzanne Valenzuela; sisters Allie Fennel (Allen), Judy Sumner (Danny) of Atascadero and Cindy Blewitt of Nevada; sister-in-laws Sue Tosti of Los Alamos and Paula Tosti of El Paso, Texas and Olivia Bugal (Keith) of Santa Maria; brother-in-law Leonard Valenzuela (Larry) of Colorado and life-long loyal and trusted friend, Frank Giovanacci whom he shared many great hunting trips and adventures.
He worked 40 years at Grefco in Lompoc until it was sold and then went to work for Valley Rock of Lompoc until his retirement in January of 2008.
He was a life long member of the Los Alamos Men's Club, St. Anthony's Catholic Church and the Los Alamos Senior Center.
Every spring he enjoyed putting in his (small) garden and giving vegetables to all the neighbors. Many enjoyed his tomatoes, corn, green beans and squash.
Honey, Dad, Grandpa, Grandpa Papa - We love you with all our hearts and will miss you forever.
A Graveside service will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, January 3, 2011 at the Los Alamos Cemetery.
Donations can be made to the Los Alamos Senior Center, PO Box 344, Los Alamos, CA 93440

We knew Frank from Valley Rock, my husband Mark worked with him and along with myself and our son we loved to hear about his hunting trips. We are so sorry to hear of your loss, Frank was a great person to know. May he be on the best hunting trip ever now.
