Jesse Manriquez Obituary

Jesse B. "Tachuela" Manriquez
Jesse B. "Tachuela" Manriquez, age 72, passed away June 8, 2011 at Villa Maria Residents in Santa Maria surrounded by loved ones and friends Paul Cuellar and Rosie Delgado.
He was born July 4, 1938 at Oso Flaco Ranch in California and raised and lived in Guadalupe, California all his life. He was the nineth of nine children born to Francisca B. and Martin L. Manriquez who were one of the pioneer families who lived in Guadalupe.
Jesse has worked all his life in construction from Reno, to Hawaii, to here in California. His nickname "Tachuela" was given to him by his dear friends. He loved cooking and Bar-b-quing with families and friends. Many of his family and friends knew he loved the Lord God our Savior with all his heart.
Jesse had his own special way of expressing his love to each and everyone of his friends, nieces, nephews and sisters. He will definitely be missed.
He is survived by his two sons Anthony and Henry Manriquez; sisters, Mary M. Baca (Robert), Guadalupe M. Arballo (Eugene) and Christina M. Chavez (Damian); and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family including: his goddaughter Christina C. Alvarez, and godson Leonard Delgado. He is preceded in death by sister Augustina Manriquez, brothers Anastacio "Tacho", Florentino "Tote", Julian, Manuel B. Manriquez and both parents Francisca Bermudez Manriquez and Martin Lopez Manriquez.
We want to extend our thanks and gratitude to the staff of Villa Maria for their support they had done for both our uncle and brother Jesse and our family. Thank you from the bottom of our heart.
The services will be held on Friday June 17, 2011 at 10 a.m. at our Our Lady of Guadalupe Church at Guadalupe, and burial will follow at the Guadalupe Cemetery
