Luella Longbrake Obituary
1917 - 2009
Luella Mae Longbrake was born to Joseph Gabriel and Pearl Maureen Grable on November 10th, 1917 in Dearborn, Missouri. Oh! What a blessed day! Our Darling Angel left us peacefully on the morning of June 1st, 2009 to be with our Lord and Savior and her wonderful husband Paul. She was 91 years old. There are no words to express how much we will miss her but, her legacy will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. She made everyone she encountered feel special. She gave and gave and never asked for anything in return. She always had a smile on her beautiful face and a warm embrace to share. She was an amazing, loving and caring woman! Luella was a Saint. She loved our precious Jesus, loved being a Homemaker and just cherished taking care of her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Paul Alexander Longbrake, daughters Cholina Maureen Williams and Patsy Jean Turner, her son Carl Leroy Williams, her sister, Darlene Kaiser, her brother-in-law, Marcus Houston and grandchild, LaDonna Longbrake who are all now rejoicing her Homecoming! She is survived by her devoted children, Harley Larue Williams, Donna Lee Reese and daughter-in-law, Jill Williams. Her beloved sister, Carol Houston. Her grandchildren, which she called her Darlings, Rebecca Jean Williams, Michael Rae Williams, Teddy Clint Turner, Neal Reese, Doug Reese, Brenda Kapsh and Steven Kapsh. Over a dozen great grandchildren, a list a mile long of her loving family, Church family and friends! A special thanks to all who aided in her care with love and support. Dr. Brian Desmond and his staff, whom she adored, Freda's Home Care and Cavilla Care Home where she resided in her last days happy and contented. Now the Angels are singing! Halleluiah! A Graveside service will be held Friday June 5th at 11AM in the Santa Maria Cemetery with J.P. Wheeler, associate pastor of Santa Maria Foursquare Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Dudley Hoffman Mortuary.
