Mary Puentes
Mary Puentes was called up to the heavens to be with the Lord December 2, 2010. She was born in Austin, TX on March 23, 1947. She moved to Santa Maria in 1952 and married her husband, Isidro Puentes of 44 years in 1966. She was a dedicated wife, mother, and friend. She will always be remembered for helping others and taking care of the elderly. She was a caregiver for almost 30 years and loved her job with a passion. Helping family, loved ones and her clients was her life. She will always be remembered smiling, joking, and making people laugh. She was a very strong woman and was until the time she was called back to the Lord.
She is survived by her husband of 44 years Isidro Puentes. Her mother, Juanita Perales of Sundown, TX. Her two sisters Janie Hinojosa of Sundown, TX and Lupe Guerrero of Levelland, TX. Her sons Marty Puentes and Fernando Puentes, both from Santa Maria and her daughter Alissa Puentes of Santa Maria. She is also survived by her three grandsons Marty Puentes III, Jacob Puentes, and Danyal Puentes and numerous grandchildren. May you rest in peace with the Lord and watch over us from the heavens above. We are respecting her wishes by having a cremation and a celebration of life gathering with the family. We appreciate your understanding and respecting of her wishes.
