Hann, Norris* - Saratoga Springs  
Norris B. Hann SARATOGA SPRINGS - Norris B. Hann passed away on April 23, 2015, at the Wesley Health Care Center, under the care of The Community Hospice of Saratoga. Norris was born July 23, 1944, the son of the late Cecil and Letha (Eichorn) Hann. He grew up in Stephens Mills, NY and graduated from Arkport Central School. He married and raised his daughters in Dansville, NY. Norris followed many paths in his varied careers, but perhaps most enjoyed his last, as an interior designer for Nelick’s/Thomasville Gallery in Troy, NY. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Walter Hann, and sister, Janice Dixon. Norris is survived by his wife of 48 years, Sandra Kurtz Hann; his daughters, Stacey Michaels (Rich) of New Hartford, NY, and Wendy Spina (Michael) of Rotterdam, NY; his three grandsons, Daniel Michaels, Matthew Michaels, and Michael Spina, Jr.; his sister, Cheryl Hann of Ithaca, NY; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 2 PM at the Malta Presbyterian Church, 118 Dunning St., Malta, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of the William J. Burke&Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes of 628 North Broadway, Saratoga Springs, NY (584-5373). In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions in his memory be made to Malta Presbyterian Church, P. O. Box 2134, Malta, NY 12020. Heber, Herman Jacob* - Gansevoort  
Herman Jacob Heber GANSEVOORT – Herman Jacob Heber, 86, passed away April 9th after a short illness in Marathon, Florida. Home birthed January 29, 1929 in Gansevoort, NY, Herman was the son of Jacob and Ursula Heber. He was a Veteran of the US Marine Corp. Upon returning from serving his country, Herman began as a dairy farmer until the early 1960’s, where he then began his construction career, including building many homes in the local area. He was a community oriented man who has helped to conceive and build the St. Therese Chapel in Gansevoort. He served proudly as a Gansevoort Volunteer Fireman and held many offices in the town of Northumberland including, Deputy Supervisor, Supervisor, Highway Superintendent and Councilman until retiring in 1991. Herman had many passions in life which included; farming, flying, good friends, traveling the world and especially staying warm in the winter months in the Florida Keys. His greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Antoinette (Toni) Negro Heber of Gansevoort; daughters, Stacie Baxter of Gansevoort, Stephanie Heber if Gansevoort; son, James Heber (Joan) of Gansevoort; grandchildren, Michael Baxter, Angeline Heber, Jacob Herman Heber and his fiancĂ© Felicia Phillips; great grandson, Jacob Herman Heber Jr. all of Gansevoort and nice Cinnia Edwards of Altamont, NY. He is predeceased by his parents Jacob and Ursula Heber and brother Eric and his wife Virginia Heber. Funeral services will be held Monday, April 27th at 11 am at St. Therese Chapel in Gansevoort where a mass of Christian burial will be celebrated by Father Marty Fisher. Committal will be directly following mass at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery. Following the committal family and friends will gather for a celebration of his life at Airway Meadows Golf Club. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations (in Herman Heber’s name) be made to the American Cancer Society.

Kehl, Walter* - Saratoga Springs  
Walter K. Kehl Sr. ALBANY - Walter K. Kehl Sr., age 86, passed away on Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 at home, with his loving family by his side. He was born on February 4th, 1929 in Albany, NY to the late Karl Kehl and Pearl Hansen Kehl. Walter was a plumber for over 30 years with the Local 7 Plumbers and Steamfitters Union in Albany, NY. He also was a Veteran in the US Army who served his country during the Korean War. Walter thoroughly enjoyed puzzles, bowling, fishing, hunting and gardening, but mostly spending time with his children and grandchildren. Walter is survived by his son; Walter K. Kehl II and his wife Kimberly of Troy, NY, daughters; Tina Licata and her husband Michael of Ballston Spa, NY, Dawn Roberts of Florida, sisters; Barbara Lyman of Alabama and Pearl Figueroa of New Hampshire and his grandchildren; Shane, April, Angelia, and Victoria Kehl, Mark, Kyle, and Deanna Roberts, Lori Frankie and Jamie Tartick, 8 great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Anna Mae of 44 years and they had a remarkable fun-filled life together. Walter found happiness again many years later with his second wife Marion Simon of a year. He is also preceded in death by his sister Florence Orciuoli of East Greenbush, NY. A funeral service will be held at 8pm on Tuesday, April 28th, 2015 at Compassionate Funeral Care, 402 Maple Ave., (Route 9 and/or Marion Ave.), Saratoga Springs, NY 12866 with Pastor Adam Wegan officiating. Calling hours will be held from 5:45pm – 7:45pm prior to the service. Interment will be held at 12 noon on Wednesday April 29th, 2015 at the New Rural Cemetery, 330 3rd Ave. Ext, Rensselaer, NY.
