Madeline Quinn

MADELINE E. ZIBRO QUINN Saratoga Springs- Madeline passed away peacefully on September 1, 2013. Born on Nov. 14, 1929 to the late Frank and Anna (Knauer) DuBois in Troy, she graduated Catholic Central High and Albany Business College. Madeline was the wife of the late Frank Quinn of Latham and was previously married to Edward Zibro Jr. of Troy. She enjoyed living in Cleverdale on Lake George for many years. She was a member of the Troy Country Club, Glens Falls Country Club and the Lake George Club. Madeline moved to Saratoga Springs in 2004 and in May of 2012 she took residence at the Home of the Good Shepherd, Wilton. Madeline enjoyed having her family and friends around. She greeted everyone with a warm smile, and enjoyed watching her many grandchildren grow. Survivors include her children Susan (Jim) Mooney of Cleverdale, Ned (Kathy) Zibro of Latham, Sandra (Ian) Rowlandson of Milwaukee, WI, Gary (Carol) Zibro of Lake George, Greg (Mary) Zibro of Wilton, and Tina (Robert) Flansburg of Saratoga. Madeline's grandchildren include: James and Bryn-Erinn Mooney, Shae Rowlandson, Andrew and Anna Zibro, Nicholas Zibro, Whitney, Robbie, Schuyler, and Spencer Flansburg, Sean and Brendan Woods, Jim, “Paddy”, Michael and Katie Zibro. Also left behind are her sister Joyce Zibro and brother Don (Maryann) Zibro, five Quinn step-children, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by siblings Ernie (Eve), Art (Gloria), and Frank DuBois. Her family wishes to thank the Home of the Good Shepherd staff and residents for their care, support, friendship, and love given to our Mother. She was truly happy there. Relatives and friends may call at the William J. Burke & Sons Funeral Home, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, on Friday September 6 from 4:30-7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 7 at 10:00 am, officiated by her nephew Fr.
