Alice F. Beninati Ballston Lake - Alice F. Beninati, 80, of Old Schauber Road, died peacefully on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at the Ellis Hospital in Schenectady, NY. She was born on January 21, 1933 in Granville, NY and was the daughter of the late Le Grand E. and Rose Alice (Blanchfield) Fraser. Mrs. Beninati was a dedicated teacher at Stevens Elementary School for over 30 years until her retirement. She was a member and past Treasurer of the Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Retired Educators Association. Alice loved to bowl and was a member and past Treasurer of her bowling league. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles A. Beninati; loving mother of Leanne “Dee” (Jeff) Smith of North Port, FL, Harry (Joy) Beninati of Berne, NY and Charles “Chip” (Diane) Beninati of Berne, NY; caring grandmother of Jason Smith, Joshua Smith, Charles Beninati, Cory Beninati, Eric Beninati, Cody Beninati and Timothy Beninati; adoring great grandmother of Dakota Beninati. She was eagerly awaiting the arrival of her second great granddaughter, Logan Alexis Smith. At Alice's request, there will be no public calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 10 am at Our Lady of Grace Church , 73 Midline Road, Ballston Lake, NY 12019. Following Mass, the family will receive friends and relatives in the church hall. Later, the family will bring her to rest with her husband in the cremation wall niche at the Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery in Schuylerville.
