SARATOGA SPRINGS - Andrew E. Keefe of Bryan Street passed away Friday, March 8, 2013.

Born July 10, 1930, in Albany, N.Y., he was the son of the late Sara Scully and Andrew Keefe. Andrew graduated from Albany Academy and the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy at Kings Point.
In 1958 he became chief nuclear test engineer for Electric Boat Co. in Groton, Conn., and in 1977 he was named nuclear project manager at the Kesselring site in West Milton, retiring in 1978.
Andrew married Margaret Vogel in 1978.
He returned to sea, MEBA, and retired a second time in 1992. During the summer months until the present, he was employed by Lake George Steamboat Co. on the Minnie Ha Ha and the Mohigan.
Andrew enjoyed every minute of life. He was an avid runner, participating in many 5K runs. He was a ski instructor at Lapland Lake, liked snowshoe races and enjoyed long distance canoe races.
In addition to his parents, Andrew was predeceased by a sister, Gertrude Keefe.
Survivors include his two children from his first marriage, Michael Keefe of Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and Patricia Keefe of Saratoga Springs; his wife, Margaret Vogel Keefe of Saratoga Springs; two grandsons, Nile and Nathaniel Keefe; and good friend Rocco.
Relatives and friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at William J. Burke & Sons/Bussing & Cunniff Funeral Homes, 628 N. Broadway, Saratoga Springs, with funeral home services to follow at 11 a.m.
Burial will be in the family plot at St. Peter's Cemetery on West Avenue.
