SCHUYLERVILLE - Ann Liptak-Weir, 84, a former resident of Schuylerville, died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Maplewood Manor in Ballston Spa.
Born June 1, 1928, in Prague, Czechoslovakia, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Mary Melaga.
Ann was the proprietor of Lippy's Bar & Grill for 35 years.
She was an avid bowler and loved to play pool.
She enjoyed being around people, especially her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husbands, Anthony Liptak and Frank Weir; and a son, John Liptak.
Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann (John) Emerson and Donna (Jim) Henry of Florida; two sons, James (Sheila) Liptak and Michael (Marty) Liptak of Schuylerville; a daughter-in-law, Donna Liptak of Schuylerville; two sisters, Mary Martinovich and Millie DeGregory of Saratoga Springs; 15 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 17, 2013, at Flynn Bros. Inc. Funeral Home, 13 Gates Ave., Schuylerville, with the Rev. Janet Vincent officiating.
Spring burial will be at Notre Dame Cemetery.
Friends may call from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday prior to the service at the funeral home.
